Long ago, in a land no map has ever drawn, there lived a man whose heart was so full of love for Allah that it shone through everything he did. His name was Nuh, and Allah chose him as a prophet. Nuh looked around at his people and felt a deep sadness. They had forgotten Allah. They prayed to statues made of stone. They chased the things of the world and left their hearts empty. And so Nuh stood among them — day after day, year after year — and called them gently back to the truth. "Worship Allah alone," he said. "There is no God but Him." But most of his people turned away. Some covered their ears. Some threw their cloaks over their faces so they would not hear. Nuh did not give up. For nine hundred and fifty years he kept calling — in the morning and at night, in public and in private. Then Allah told Nuh something that would change everything. "Build a ship," Allah said. Nuh had never built a ship before. He lived far from any sea. And when he began building it there in the dry land, his people laughed at him. They pointed and mocked. But Nuh only trusted Allah. He kept building — plank by plank, nail by nail. This was tawakkul — trusting Allah completely, even when nothing made sense to anyone else. When the ship was finished, Allah sent His command. Rain began to fall — gently at first, then heavily, then more than anyone had ever seen. Water came from the earth below. Water fell from the sky above. Rivers burst their banks. The whole world filled with water. Allah told Nuh: bring onto the ship a pair of every animal, and the believers. And so they boarded — Nuh, the small number of believers, and two of every creature walking, creeping, and flying across the earth. The great ark sailed through the flood. Outside, the waves rose like mountains. But inside, there was calm. There was trust. There was Allah. When the water finally settled and the earth was still again, the ark came to rest on a mountain. The sun came out. The birds sang. A new beginning had arrived. Nuh stepped off the ship and thanked Allah — for the safety, for the patience, for the mercy that had carried them through. So when things around you feel stormy, dear one — when things feel hard and confusing — remember Nuh. He trusted Allah completely. And Allah never left him alone. Whatever storm comes your way, build your ship of trust. Allah is always, always there.
